How Does God Work?

Honestly, I wonder how God works. On one side, there is the MH17 tragedy with more than 280 lives gone in a split second. And then on the other side, there is the huge number of people who are homeless or without shelter not to mention the group of people who silently wish they can die even with a ROOF over their heads.


So how does God work? It doesn't make any sense at all. Why take away the lives of those who want to enjoy life and let the ones who wish to perish from the face of Earth forever? What is God's reason or logic?


As I read various personal stories about those who died, I begin to understand this - God does everything for a reason!!!!

You have a number of files at your home. You do not know which one has your personal records. You take some time to go through all the files. By the time you fax it over to the officer, he has gone back home. So the approval of your loan gets delayed.

Shitsuke or Discipline: Office – Nothing can be done properly without some amount of discipline. You need to have the discipline to practice sorting, cleanliness, organization and standardization always.

Why is discipline important? Here is a good scenario; a potential new customer who is much disciplined according to your supervisor walks in and passes by your working area. He sees how you kept your working area clean, the way you indexed, labeled, color coded and arranged your files. He is greatly impressed by your very discipline.

After evaluating your company, he decides to have a new business dealing with your company. But he tells your supervisor that he wants you to be part of the business project.

Right now, many people are looking at life with a very bleak picture. Out of a job, with no shelter, with a family to feed, there might seem hardly any hope of earning money. But, there is a great mystery about life: if you believe that something good would happen sooner or later, it normally would.

All those who read best-sellers like the Secret and the Law of Attraction would attest to this. Just like there is a law of cause and effect, there is a law of attraction too. They work on the same principle: vibration energy on a microscopic level from a person to the Universe. The Universe receives your energy and thoughts. Thoughts too have their own vibrations via the atoms inside your brain.

So, think positive always, however hard life may seem now. Make it your New Year 2014 resolution! If there is night, day is soon to follow. Has there ever been night without day ever? So it is with the life of a person. There are still ways to earn money these days. 

What is "Work is Worship" ?

Rather than dragging ourselves to work everyday for the sole purpose of earning money, what about motivating ourselves with the concept of "Work is Worship". From my limited knowledge about the various religions in the world, I think that they speak the same core language - Serve, Love and Give in a selfless way.

So, what if we were to think of our working place as a place to give, serve and love selflessly? What if we think of our work as a means of worshipping the Divine, whatever name you want to call that Divine Being? We perform our work selflessly to serve the company, which hired us so that it grows financially and in other ways.

We are motivated because we think of our work as a way to worship the Divine Being. So, there is no feeling of doing something in a half-hearted way. We do our work conscientiously with the thought of serving, loving and giving to the Divine Being. We put in our best effort, our hard work or our all with the thought of serving the Divine Being in our hearts. Is it possible in today's rat race world?

After all, nowadays, there are many motivational books, which stress on loving, giving and serving selflessly or practicing the concept of selflessness. At least, that is what I gathered from best sellers like The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and Manifesting Your Destiny by Dr.Wayne W. Dyer.  They seem to stress on the value of selfless giving, loving and serving. Perhaps, the wordings are different.

But, the message seems to be so. Then, there is Seth Gordon's concept of marketing, which is revolves around selfless marketing. This type of marketing has taken the world over by storm.

So, is it not high time that we started practicing the concept of "Work is Worship" at our workplaces? Or is it impossible to do so in today's dog-eating-dog world?
